Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue's 19^th Annual Benefit Auction was held on Sunday, March 26^th at the Hudson Portuguese Club in Hudson, Massachusetts.The weather was great and the two hundred and sixty Golden lovers who attended made this a very successful fundraiser! Thanks to our Auctioneer, bidding was fast and furious for the four hundred plus items that were donated by YGRR members, friends and many businesses. A sincere thank you to everyone who donated to the 2006 Auction. The wide variety of items made for an exciting day of bidding and raised over $27,500 for the Goldens awaiting adoption. Auction attendees shopped for Golden Goodies, won door prizes and had a great time deciding which raffles to enter.

The Hudson Portuguese Club was a new location for this annual event and those in attendance were very pleased with this beautiful new venue and the great box lunch served by the caterer. We hope to return to the Portuguese Club for future auctions.

Fifteen committee members spent six months organizing YGRR's biggest fundraiser of the year.  With those who worked on Auction Day, a total of thirty four people were involved in making the 2006 Auction a great success.
